I absolutely loved the location! We came as a short pre wedding vacation with our wedding party and it was absolutely lovely. The morning view was calming and peaceful as well as the most beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset which we definitely watched. Pretty much everything you need is in the house as well as it is decorated beautifully. Under the patio is plenty of space to just hang out, as well as the balcony top was spacious. There are cards, cable and chairs and beach things you can use. There is also stores located a couple miles away as well as a liquor store right down the way. We headed to Galveston immediately afterwards and that itself is a short drive away. I loved it and I would recommend it for anyone who wants a quick getaway or just wants to relax.

We had our reunion at Zuhair beach house and had a blast staying there. Plenty of beds for everyone, close to beach and the view was magnificent.

This house is absolutely wonderful! Our family reunion of 25 people went very smoothly. Plenty of sleeping area and the owner is so thoughtful by supplying drinking water that was very cold and ready to drink because we had no idea about the water in Surfside,and was so considerate as to call us to make sure that everything was going well. The view is awesome as well as the very short walk to the beach. I have to say that the owner is definitely an honest man, because he was so aware of some minor damages that were done prior to our arrival that I just quit asking if he knew about them. He is certainly someone I would rent from again. We all hit the beach and enjoyed the waves and seeing the dolphins,and the fishing. The shower at the bottom was a great help from bringing sand in the house.we are absolutely going to see if we can get the house again only sooner next year. Our hats off to the owner who shared this lovely home, full of color, with my family

Our large family of 9 adults/7 kids under age 8 thoroughly enjoyed this clean and well kept, nicely decorated beach house making our week-long stay fun and comfortable. Photos represent well the property, house, deck and view. Deck chairs and folding chairs are available for use.

Plenty of sleeping space and beds with comforters for our crew. Several sets of bunk beds.

Kitchen well stocked, large oven, microwave and toaster oven, two coffee pots. Filtered water dispenser for hot/warm/cold water was an unexpected bonus with undrinkable tap water in Surfside.

Bathrooms clean and well stocked with towels and washcloths plus good supply of toilet paper.

Parking under house is spacious. Shower and hose to clean-up sand after beach visit to help keep house clean. Grills available for outdoor cooking including one on deck; outdoor lighting on deck and in parking area under house.

Owner was easy to contact and pleasant to work with in making reservations, answered all our questions. He was even willing to take our group out for some dolphin watching in one of his boats docked within minutes of the house. Easy to check-in and out with lockbox for storing keys to property.

Close to several restaurants in Surfside (Kitty’s Purple Cow, Pirates Alley and Red Snapper) and others in surrounding towns in Freeport or Lake Jackson. Valero and Buckees nearby for quick items with Kroger in nearby Clute. Recommend visiting Galveston, Kemah Boardwalk and with kids visited Sea Center of Texas in Lake Jackson.

Would highly recommend this to friends and would stay at this property in the future.

This home was above and beyond our expectations. It was very clean, well stocked, fantastic location in regards to beach access, and the owner’s were very accomodating. The stairs to upper deck and front door entry were challenging for my mother who has knee problems; however, the stairs were wide enough that someone could walk beside her when going up or down them. If you like a small fishing village feel with mom and pop shops instead of the heavy commercialization, this is the place for you. Truly a family oriented, get-away-from-it-all vacation destination, yet within a very drivable distance to fast food places and shopping.
